IM events in Session 3 will be heat declared winners. The presentations for events 65 & 66 will take place after event 68, so younger swimmers can leave as early as possible.
1.The competition will be held under ASA Law and Technical Rules – two start rule.
2.Ages will be as at 1st June 2000 except for those swimmers who will be aged 10 as at 31st December 2000. This is to allow swimmers who reach 10 years in 2000 to compete.
3.Competitors may only enter events in their own age group.
4.Competitors may only compete under the name of one club.
5.Entry forms must have been correctly submitted by the specified date and accepted by the promoters.
6.The promoters reserve the right to limit entries.
7.The entry fee is £2.00 per event.
8.Coaches passes are available for £10.00 each which includes a gala programme, lunch, tea and a full set of meet results. Passes can be purchased with the entries and are limited to 3 per club.
9.All entry cards must be posted in the box at least 20 minutes before the start of each session. LATE CARDS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IF THERE IS AN EMPTY LANE IN HEAT 1 OF THE RELEVANT EVENT.
10.Competitors must report to the competitors stewards at least one event prior to their event; and for finals at the commencement of each group of finals. It is the swimmer's responsibility to report to the competitors stewards and swimmers WILL NOT be fetched.
11.Competitors who wish to withdraw from heats or finals should do so as early as possible. A swimmer once scratched will not be re-instated.
12.In all events swimmers have been seeded according to submitted times. In events where there are fewer than 7 competitors they will be spearheaded and swum as a straight final at the advertised time of the final.
13.The six fastest swimmers from the heats will go forward to the final, EXCEPT for Session 3 where IM events will be decided on the basis of heat declared winners. Swim-offs will be arranged if necessary.
14.There will be an award for the first 6 swimmers in each event.
15.Access to the pool will be restricted to swimmers taking part in the gala in progress, officials and coaches with an official pass. NO OUTDOOR SHOES ARE PERMITTED ON POOLSIDE. This is a health & safety requirement of South Kesteven District Council and will be strictly enforced on the day. NO-ONE - SWIMMER, COACH OR OFFICIAL will be granted access to poolside wearing shoes that have been previously worn outdoors. Footwear used exclusively on poolside is permitted.
16.During warm ups swimmers will be under control of the Chief Warm Up Steward who will be responsible for all aspects of safety. Warm up details will be posted around the pool and announced.
17.Admission charge £1.00 per session per adult.
18.Programmes £2.00
19.Results sheets will be on sale at 10p per sheet.
20.Events in Sessions 1 and 2 only will count towards Top Club, Top Boy and Top Girl Awards.
21.Please do not leave clothing or valuables lying around as neither the Promoters nor the Pool Management can accept liability for loss or damage.
22.The Promoters reserve the right to alter the order of events.
23.The Promoters reserve the right to refuse admission to any person.
24.Your co-operation is requested to keep fire exits free at all times.
